Nissan Releases Remote Charging App for LEAF

Nissan recently released a smartphone app that makes the experience of owning a Nissan LEAF even better. And, just like the LEAF, it's perfect for your busy lifestyle.
"Nissan understands that telematics and other communication services are important for consumers," explains Trishna Jung, Director, Vehicle Connected Services, Nissan North America. "By providing accessibility and functionality to the Nissan LEAF through all major smartphone platforms, we are truly delivering 'Innovation for All'."1
You might be asking, what about this app is different than other vehicle apps on the market. Take away the bells and whistles and most are mainly an online owner's manual and a place to buy xx-brand swag. But Nissan has created something different.
The Nissan LEAF App will save you time and ensure that your Nissan LEAF never runs out of power. Its remote functionality allows owners to check the battery charge, start charging if it's too low, see if the charging has stopped, get an up-to-date snapshot of driving range and pre-heat or pre-cool their vehicle.
Designed with busy Nissan LEAF owners in mind, the app is compatible with Blackberry and Android smartphones as well as iPhones. Drivers can download it directly from the iTunes store (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nissan-leaf/id407814405?mt=8).
