Nissan Feeds the Crowd in Los Angeles

Auto enthusiasts got a special surprise from Nissan this year, as the automaker brought something a little bit different to the last month's LA Auto Show. Nissan arrived with concept versions of their NV Vans outfitted with graphics and order windows to feed hungry show-goers grilled cheese and ice cream sandwiches while they admired all of the latest and greatest in the automotive industry.
That's right, the Japanese automaker arrived in LA with food trucks. This probably doesn't really come as a surprise, because here in Tucson you can buy everything from shaved ice to hamburgers to Mexican food out of a truck window. Those of us with a penchant for buying our lunch out of a truck say, bring it on, Nissan!
The vehicles they brought to the Los Angeles Auto Show were well equipped to handle the hungry crowds that frequent food trucks - including college kids, busy office workers, and even wandering tourists. Each model includes fold-out service windows, work counters and kitchenettes.
With over 900 licensed mobile food businesses in Pima County, Thoroughbred Nissan is certain we'll see food truck variants of the Nissan NV roaming the streets here soon enough. Our growling stomachs hope it's sooner rather than later, for sure.
While you won't find ice cream or grilled cheese in any new Nissan models in the Thoroughbred Nissan showroom, the lineup is sure to satisfy your craving for innovation. Visit 5163 E 22nd St Tucson, AZ 85711, to explore all of Nissan's late-breaking features firsthand.
